Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Blorble ("we," "us," the "Platform") collects when you use the site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Blorble you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy covers everyone who creates an account, posts characters, uploads voice submissions, sends messages, buys or sells on the Platform, or otherwise interacts with Blorble. Blorble is a general-audience product; you must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and at least 18 to use any paid features (tips, bounties, paid downloads, commissions, or payouts).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account information
We sign you in through third-party identity providers (Google and Discord). When you sign in we receive a basic profile from the provider — typically your email address, name, profile picture, and a stable account identifier. We do not receive or store your password.
2.2 Profile information
You choose what to put on your public profile: username, display name, avatar, bio, links, whether you're available as a voice actor, and a voice demo. Anything on your profile is visible to the internet.
2.3 Content you upload
- Character posts — title, description, script, category, images, and optional video.
- Voice submissions — audio recordings (recorded in your browser or uploaded), duration, and any notes you attach.
- Comments, likes, follows, and reports.
- Commission and message content, including audio messages you send to another user.
Posts, voice submissions, comments, follows, and likes are public by default. Direct messages and commission threads are visible to the participants and, where necessary, to our moderation team.
2.4 Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and bank details are entered directly into Stripe and are never stored on Blorble's servers. We receive limited transaction metadata (amount, currency, status, the last four digits of a card, country) so we can show your purchase or payout history.
If you accept payouts, Stripe Connect collects the identity information it needs to comply with financial regulations (legal name, date of birth, address, tax ID, and bank details). Stripe is the controller of that data; see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
2.5 Communications
We send transactional email through Resend — for example, sign-in notifications, commission updates, payment receipts, payout confirmations, and bounty reminders. These are tied to your account's activity, not marketing.
2.6 Technical and usage data
Like most web apps, we automatically collect some technical information when you use the Platform: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages visited, the actions you take, and timestamps. We use this to keep the service running, debug problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform.
- Display your profile, posts, and submissions to other users.
- Process payments, payouts, refunds, tips, bounties, paid downloads, and commissions.
- Send transactional emails (sign-in, commissions, payments, receipts, expiring bounties, etc.).
- Moderate content, enforce our Terms, and respond to reports of abuse, harassment, fraud, or IP infringement.
- Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:
- Other users. Your public profile and public content are visible to anyone who visits the site.
- Service providers. Supabase (authentication, database, file storage), Stripe (payments and payouts), and Resend (transactional email). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
- Identity providers. Google and Discord (only during sign-in).
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Blorble, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Blorble is acquired or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll let users know in advance where required by law.
5. Storage, security, and retention
Account data, posts, comments, and messages are stored in our Supabase Postgres database. Images, video, voice recordings, and avatars are stored in Supabase Storage. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use row-level security policies to keep private content (such as direct messages) limited to the people involved.
We retain data while your account is active and for a limited period after you delete it, so we can comply with tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations (for example, Stripe transaction records). Public content you posted may remain in search-engine caches or archives outside our control.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar local-storage mechanisms strictly to keep you signed in (Supabase session tokens), remember your theme preference, and operate the site. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
7. Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, delete characters and voice submissions, block other users, and stop using the Platform at any time. Where applicable law gives you rights — for example under the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California) — you may:
- Request access to or a copy of your personal data.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email support@blorble.com from the address tied to your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Note that deleting your account does not delete content others have created in response (e.g. a voice submission someone else recorded for a character you posted will remain attributed to its creator).
8. International users
Blorble is operated from the United States. If you use the Platform from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US and in any region where our service providers operate. We rely on standard contractual safeguards where required.
9. Children
Blorble is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
